The Lexile Framework for Reading

Information:

Tools:
  • Lexile Book Database contains more than 115,000 English and Spanish fiction and non-fiction titles.
  • Lexile Analyzer allows you to analyze text, literature and supplementary materials. (A limited version is available for free, non-commercial use; more extensive or commercial use requires a contractual agreement.)
  • Lexile Calculator is a free tool for examining the comprehension rate between a reader and a text. Using the Lexile Calculator, you can calculate the rate at which a child is expected to comprehend a text, as well as the reading ability the child is expected to need in order to comprehend a text at a given level.
  • Lexile Power Vocabulary is a systematic and individualised approach to vocabulary development that enables teachers to assist children in grades 2 through 12 with improving their reading comprehension skills.
  • Lexile Map provides a graphic representation of titles and texts matched to appropriate levels of reading ability.
  • Lexile Multiple Measures Calculator is a free tool to calculate a child’s ability from two different scores on recent reading tests or assessments reported as Lexile measures.

The Quantile Framework for Mathematics

Information:

Tools:
  • QTaxon Search: Search for QTaxons, their knowledge clusters and aligned resources. Teachers can match children with targeted resources. Parents can find skills and concepts their child is ready to learn and those skills upon which new skills can be built.
  • Textbook Search: Search for textbooks by publisher, ISBN, author, title or keyword. Textbook calibrations are at the lesson level, so teachers can make planning decisions to match targeted resources to learners. Results can be printed from the table of contents detail page for easy use.
  • Lesson Planner: The Lesson Planner is designed to aide in the planning of personalised mathematics lessons with targeted resources. Teachers can build the lesson and bundle resources for download.
  • Quantile Map: The Quantile map illustrates mathematics development and the connections between skills and concepts across the content strands.
